Photography as a recording medium or means has been generally regarded as an established form,
and then a lot of carefree shooting can be done, but gradually forgot the mystery that photos should have.
The traces left on the objects in our lives after used are often ignored, and it is not until one day
when we hold it alone that we will find our dependence and emotions are no longer so easy to give up.
In the summer of 2018, I found out some old hard drives from my father's bookcase.
At first I wanted to format the hard drive for my own use, but driven by curiosity,
I connected it to the computer and checked the files.
The hard disk was filled with information about my father's company
before his retirement and his daily photos, and these sudden information created a subtle connection with me.
As a professional photographer, while I carefully check the photos I want to give to clients,
I rarely watch the photos I take with such care, or even make records for my own life.
Therefore, I had the idea to record this connection between my memory and my father's memory.
I use my profession or the method I am most familiar with to create. Even for commercial photography,
"Photographing Art" is still not that popular. Most of the commercial photography is based on creation,
and the photographing Art is based on the premise of almost 100% restoration of the artwork,
and because of this, there is a big difference between my mentality when shooting and when creating.
I took advantage of the special lighting method I use, to create my works, let it in a realistic but distorted state.
This work is talking about the digital memory. Of course, I know that memory is a common issue,
but the coded memory is quite interesting to me. I tried to present my work simply and rationally,
even I want it just like a status. In my work, I used an old computer to run a code,
and the system would be crushed randomly.
The computer would continue to run after restoring and formatting the memory by itself,
so I called this kind of situation as "disqualification".
